Delta Kappa Gamma, Theta Chapter Self-Sufficiency Scholarship Information

Delta Kappa Gamma is an international society of women educators devoted to professional development of its members, promoting excellence in education, and improving the status of women through education.

This grant of $500, for attendance at Western Technical College, is funded by the local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International. This is Theta Chapter of the greater La Crosse area, including Holmen, Onalaska, and West Salem.

Our goal is to assist low income women who are motivated to seek further education or training that will help them become self-sufficient.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

…must be a resident of the Coulee Region
…be a survivor of domestic abuse and/or a single mother
…have a low income
…have educational goals and a plan for becoming self-sufficient
…complete application form
…be available for a personal interview
…can be receiving W-2 cash and/or benefits such as food stamps, childcare, BadgerCare or help with transportation

Scholarship money may be used for payment of tuition or books, or for personal needs such as daycare, food or transportation. We ask that you inform us of how the money was spent.
