Ruth and Phil Bouffleur Endowed Scholarship

Ruth and Phil are strong local supporters of education.

Ruth started as a cook at Longfellow Junior High School and then became an Emergency Ward Secretary at Lutheran Hospital. She was active in the Lutheran Hospital Auxiliary, La Crosse Shrine Auxiliary, and volunteered over three thousand hours at Lutheran Hospital.

Phil worked for the La Crosse Post Office as a letter carrier for 32 years. He was active in Boy Scouts and as a Shriner. They have four children and all received an education in La Crosse. Daughter, Nancy, graduated from Western as an X-Ray Technician.
