Robert Maas Endowed Scholarship

Robert Maas retired as Program Head of the Mechanical Design Program in May of 2000 after 36 years of service. Bob had a total dedication to technical education. His leadership and futuristic vision of technology and the changing world made the Mechanical Design program a quality program.

Bob has inspired many individuals at Western through his teaching, guidance and friendship. Bob saw the potential in everyone and all they did. His dedication as a teacher taught students how to set their goals high, work hard and achieve those goals. He gave many students the foundation that they needed to build a great career on. His hard work and dedication to the Mechanical Design program at Western has guaranteed every employer an excellent source of qualified, well-trained employees. He truly had a gift to teach and guide.

Bob has inspired so many lives, his family, friends, graduates and colleagues have established an endowment fund in his name. The scholarships will be awarded to students who seek a career in the Mechanical Design Program.
