Ray Kircher Endowed Scholarship

Ray Kircher Endowed Scholarship

Ray Kircher was a firm believer in learning a useful trade. His hobbies were fishing and hunting, but he worked with ceramic tile and marble. He installed much of the marble at Saint Francis and Lutheran Hospitals. He also installed pools at YMCA s in La Crosse and Winona. He worked in creameries and schools in Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota.
Ray’s wife Lillian stated that they had often talked about what an asset WWTC is to the community. After Lillian’s first husband’s death her two sons, Gary and Stephen Tolvstad, attended classes at WWTC, as well as Lillian and her grandson Curtis Tolvstad.
Lillian stated that it was a privilege to establish a memorial to Ray, with a scholarship to help others take advantage of the facilities offered by WWTC.
