“Frank,” as he was known by most of his business associates, graduated from Central High School in 1931. He took an electrical course and attended night classes at La Crosse Vocational and Adult School (now Western). He was active in Free Masonry and Past Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knight Templary of the State of Wisconsin. He died June 25, 1995, of malignant mesathelioma
Franklin’s wife, Gretchen was secretary-treasurer of Neumann Electric Company until their retirement in 1975. They were married sixty and one half years. They have two sons, Eugene and Franklin G. and two great-grand sons. This scholarship was initiated by his family in memory of the outstanding achievements in the electrical field in the La Crosse area.
