Louis H. and Marie C. Wacker Memorial Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Louis Wacker, our Dad. After Dad passed away, as we talked about uses for the memorial money, we came up with the idea of a scholarship at Western. Dad always thought the world of the nurses who cared for him, so it made sense to make it a nursing scholarship. When Mom passed away, we added her to the scholarship. Neither Mom nor Dad were able to pursue advanced education, but they always supported us in our educational needs. They knew how much scholarship money meant to us as struggling students. We hope this scholarship helps a few nursing students struggle less.
