Keith Valiquette Endowed Scholarship

Keith Valiquette Endowed Scholarship

Keith Valiquette was employed by Western Technical College for 37 years. During his entire tenure at Western he was a member of the Instructional Support Services Division staff. He first held a faculty position with the division and later became Associate Dean. He served as ISS Dean for some 20 years until his retirement in 2008.

His prior teaching experience on the Navajo and Leech Lake Reservations greatly influenced his decision to pursue adult education as a career.

Keith was a remarkably student centered teacher and administrator and believed that Western was a place where students changed their lives for the better. Because of that, when he chose to retire, his colleagues at Western and across the state could think of no better gift than to help Keith continue to help the students he dedicated his professional life to. Therefore they chose to establish and endowed scholarship in his name at Western Technical College to ensure that Keith’s helping hand will be a part of student success at western long after his time here has ended.
