J.Rohrer/Kiwanis Club Endowed Scholarship

In December of 1978, the La Crosse Kiwanis Club Board of Directors voted to endow a scholarship in memory of Joseph H. Rohrer.
He was president and general manager of WLCX Radio and WLXR-FM at the time of his death, November 24, 1977. He was very active in business and community affairs and served as president of the La Crosse Kiwanis Club in 1976. His accomplishments were numerous: Greater La Crosse Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year 1964, Festmaster-Oktoberfest 1971, and Jaycee Boss of the Year Award receiving this honor twice. He had been a resident of La Crosse since April 1957.
