Harold Quandahl/Kwik Trip Endowed Scholarship
Harold R. Quandahl, Sparta Businessman, entrepreneur, community leader, and a devoted husband and father, made lasting contributions to Kwik Trip, Inc. and his community during his lifetime.
Harry joined Kwik Trip in 1984 after having been the successful owner and operator of Quandahl’s House of Design (1966-1976); Creative Display, Inc. (1977-1983); and Horizon Investment Corp. (1973-1986). His entrepreneurial spirit and creativity continued to flourish in his operation of the Kwik Trip Food Service. According to Kwik Trip’s CEO, John Hansen, “Harry was truly a gifted man and a real morale booster. He knew how to ‘hook’ his customers and his coworkers.” Harry’s love of his work and family was apparent in all that he did.
Harry actively contributed to his community as president of the Sparta Rotary Club and as an active member of the Sparta Industrial Foundation. He also gave 17 years of dedicated service to his community while serving on the Sparta City Board of Appeals.
The Harold Quandahl family and Kwik Trip, Inc. have endowed a scholarship in memory of Harold Quandahl’s exemplary service, support of education, and zest for life and learning.
