Frederick Reiman Endowed Scholarship

Frederick Reiman Endowed Scholarship

The Frederick A. Reiman Scholarship was started in 1989 at the time of his retirement, after 51 years at the W. A. Roosevelt Company. The management of the 120 year-old distributor of plumbing, heating, electrical, and refrigeration supplies wished to honor Mr. Reiman for starting the company’s commercial refrigeration and air conditioning department in 1938, for its growth and particularly for his interest in education.
Mr. Reiman attended both Notre Dame and the University of Wisconsin. For many years he was actively involved with the La Crosse Taxpayers Association, La Crosse Jaycees, Holy Cross and Aquinas PTA. Reiman was an organizer and charter member of the local unit of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society begun in 1946.
Throughout his business career he encouraged technical and sales people to continue their education. The Reiman scholarship was established to continue that encouragement and support.
