Eva Jeffries Endowed Scholarship

Eva Jeffries Endowed Scholarship

Eva Jeffries worked in the Instructional Support Services Division (GOAL Program) of Western for 19 years. During that time she performed both instructional and counseling duties, but in recent years functioned primarily as counselor.
Eva was instrumental in the development of the college’s first Adult Education Programs, and during the past 19 years she played a critical role in the expansion of adult education and GED services to the entire district.
Eva made a lasting impression on all those she met, but especially her students. Outside of school Eva volunteered much of her time to such organizations as the La Crosse Symphony, the Hixon Forest Association, Swartout Museum, the La Crosse County Historical Society, and other civic groups.
Eva’s family, peers, and friends established the memorial scholarship to continue her deep interest in the welfare of students at Western.
