Dr. Edward Winga/Milisch Respiratory Endowed Scholarship

The 2003 graduating class of the Respiratory Care Practitioner program at Western established this endowment in honor of Dr. Edward R. Winga, Physician of Internal Medicine/Pulmonary at Gundersen Lutheran. Dr. Winga was chosen by the students based on recommendations received from Western program faculty, and Lynn Lenz, director of respiratory care at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.

“Dr. Winga has served as the medical director of the program since its inception in 1983,” said Bob Milisch, Western program head. “The students made an excellent choice in naming the endowment after Dr. Winga. He has volunteered a lot of time to help direct the program, and has been instrumental in its success. I can’t think of a better person to honor.”
