Chopa Endowed Scholarship
In the fall of 1979, Jerome Chopa made plans to leave a large portion of his estate to the WWTC Foundation, to be utilized for the poor and aged. Shortly thereafter he died.
Mr. Chopa was a La Crosse businessman and a world traveler who believed in technical education.
Judge Robert Joanis played a key role in arranging the details of Mr. Chopa’s wishes. Scholarships were established for nontraditional students in health occupations as a means for helping to improve the health care for the poor and aged.
