Bill Kish Endowed Scholarship
The Bill Kish Endowed Scholarship was established to honor the life and legacy of William “Bill” Kish, a dedicated leader in the electrical industry who was committed to excellence, integrity, and community service.
Bill’s career began after he returned from military service in 1973, when he partnered with his brother Dick and their father Jule to run the family business, Kish Electric. Originally founded by Jule in the 1950s, Kish Electric started as a small, family-owned electrical company in La Crosse, Wisconsin but through leadership, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and dedication, which were instilled in him from a young age, it grew into Kish & Sons Electric and became a leading name in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical contracting.
Bill was a committed community leader, a generous mentor, and a successful businessman. In recognition of Bill’s generous spirit and his lifelong commitment to the electrical industry, his wife and daughters, have established this scholarship for future electricians. This endowment reflects Bill’s belief in the importance of education and skill development to inspire and support the next generation of electricians who will continue the work he loved.
