Allan Rusch Endowed Scholarship
Allan Rusch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial education and a Master of Science degree in vocational education, both from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He also attended Kansas State and the University of Illinois, between 1958 and 1964. Allan taught high school math, science and industrial arts in the Wisconsin communities of Minong, Abbotsford, and Medford. In 1964, he moved his family to Onalaska to work at the Trane Company in La Crosse.
In 1969, he became an instructor of mechanical design at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute (Western) where he worked until retiring in May 1990. Allan took great pride and personal interest in his students and their achievements.
Allan’s wife, Phyllis, Western staff, and friends established the Allan Rusch Endowment. Allan passed away on March 21, 1999.
